FAMS Wins Clearing Agent of The Year for Sub Sahara’s Busiest Border Crossing

FAMS Freight Forwarding (Pvt) LTD T/A FAMS Zimbabwe is honored to have been declared clearing agent of the year by the Beitbridge Corporate & People’s Choice Awards. This award was handed to FAMS on the 25th of March this year at the Beitbridge Business Expo (BBE) held in Beitbridge at Zebra Hilltop Lodge. FAMS was awarded this esteemed title for its stellar compliance, ethical conduct, and customer service.

Beitbridge Business Expo works in partnership with the Beitbridge municipality to promote & award leadership, excellence and community service in the fast growing community of Beitbridge. They organized the 2023 Corporate & People’s Choice Awards to officially recognize the individuals and institutions that excelled in various aspects of community development back in 2022.

The ceremony was attended by over 200 people, coming mainly from businesses within the Beitbridge community or other cities. The Guest of Honor was the CEO of the Nyaradzo Business Group, Mr Philip Mataranyika, represented by Mr Benson Mukandiwa. He spoke about the importance of customer care in all business operations and how it leads to greater customer retention. FAMS were represented at the event by Lorraine Zhou from the Harare sales team and also by the FAMS team members from Beitbridge

Awards were decided through strict criteria dictated by a panel made up of various key stakeholders in government, business and community services. The key criteria used to determine the clearing agent of the year included such considerations as:

1.Compliance with laws & legislation

2.Ethical business conduct

3.Customer service experience

4.General brand appeal.

FAMS was recognized by the panel for its dutiful compliance with Zimra requirements and legislature, its dedication to improving the Zimbabwean economy and moving freight and cargo in an ethical way with minimal impact on the environment, it’s growing brand appeal as a reliable one-stop shop for all logistics needs, and it’s steadfast conviction to providing clients with forwarding solutions in a consistent, professional, and affordable manner.

FAMS is deeply honoured and greatly thrilled to receive this award. Ms. Lorraine Zhou, who received the award on behalf of FAMS, made the following statement:
